missing word

Hey, how come there's no english word for poudrerie?! blowing snow, how boring is that??? powder blow? powdering? intense sideway dusting? find something you literate english weather geeks!!! you live here too!
The Inuits have 50 words for snow, the french side of this country has at least 10 (20 if you count things like white crap and &%%$%@!!!)

Here's the definition.. devise a new word please...
"Poudrerie" is a Québécois neologism which indicates the snow raised by the wind like a fine powder. "Poudrerie" can occur with or without fall of snow and depends on the force of the wind. One in general needs a wind of more than 40 km/h and snow on the ground made of enough fine flakes to be able to be raised.
